COMPANY CEO PROFILE
IG & Associates is a structural engineering which specializes in a wide variety of projects, ranging from bridge design for vehicular and pedestrian applications to building and vertical structure design.
Headed by Ishan Gopalka, PE ( BSCE '19, MSCE '20), is an alumni of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. With multiple years of work experience designing bridges in the State of Indiana and buildings and vertical structures in Chicago, he has a grasp of the working laws and regulations in the United States of America from a structural engineering standpoint.
Ishan's experience in bridge design ranges from new bridge design for highways, interstates and local county jobs to rehabilitation and restoration of existing bridges.
He has worked on vertical structures in the City of Chicago, with projects in Chicago and the greater midwest.

VERTICAL STRUCTURES
STRUCTURAL DESIGN FOR VERTICAL STRUCTURES:
Structural design in Tekla Structural Designer, RAMConcepts and RISA3D Suite (RISA Floor, RISA2D etc) in compliance with the relevant design codes. All member designs are supported by hand calculations. All designs are compliant with AISC360-16/22. AISC341 and ACI318-19.
Steel Connection design in compliance with AISC 360-16/22 performed in RISA Connections and supported by hand calculations.
Wind and Earthquake load calculations as per ASCE7 guidelines.
Foundation design in RISAFoundations and TeklaTedds supported by hand calculations. Ishan has designed large mat foundations, driven piles, and caisson foundations for both gravity and lateral loads.

3D REVIT Modelling for buildings and vertical structures
Structural Modelling for steel, reinforced concrete and post-tensioned structures in Tekla Structural Designer, RISA3D & the complete RISA Suite, and RAM Concepts.
Detail drawings and plan drawings in AutoCAD on the clients' titelblock or our titleblock, as suited to the requirement of the client.

OPENING OF OUR BANGALORE OFFICE!
We are excited to open our Bangalore office within the first financial year of operations! Located on Infantry Road, near Cubbon Park, this office will house multiple design engineers and draftsmen.
In tune with ensuring a quality product, we focus on two major aspects of our daily work life in order to ensure consistent good quality deliverables:
Good Training and Downtime
Given the US based nature of work, we believe in providing rigorous and holistic training on all aspects of the job, ranging from drafting, to markups to engineering and company standards.
The second is downtime. With the very number and fine drawing oriented nature of work, downtime is a must in order to reboot and recharge. With Cubbon park being a stone's throw, it is an easy access for a walk after work in the lovely Bangalore weather. Usually, the owner goes for a walk in the evening and encourages the staff to do the same in order to reboot and recharge.
